Levan Gamsakhurdia (second from the right on the attached photo), head of the Qvareli Municipality administration, has taken a holiday and works at the United National Movement campaign staff. On 7 May, he traveled to the Eniseli village together with the minister of environment protection to meet the residents of the Kakheti region affected by a natural disaster. The minister spoke to the people about government aid. Gamsakhurdia participated in the discussion too, explaining the schedule of activities and other details. Levan Gamsakhurdia acted as an incumbent head of the Qvareli Municipality administration. By doing so, he clearly biolated Article 89 Paragraph “b” of the Georgian Law on Public Service whereby a public official is not to engage in official communication while on holiday.
